Battlefield 2042 is due to release on October 22nd, but this month, many gamers on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will be able to play the game early through its Technical Playtest.

For PC players, EA has released system requirements for Battlefield 2042's Technical Playtest, revealing minimum and recommended system requirements that are similar to Battlefield V.

Battlefield 2042 is a DirectX 12 title on PC, with Dice appearing to have dropped DirectX 11 support with their latest Battlefield title. Battlefield 2042's recommended graphics cards are now much higher-end than what was recommended for Battlefield V, with AMD's RX 580 and Nvidia's GTX 1060 being replaced with AMD's RX 5600 XT and Nvidia's RTX 2060.

If you have a high-end gaming PC, you will be able to run Battlefield 2042's technical preview. We expect EA to change Battlefield 2042's final system requirements before the game launches on October 22nd.
